چکیده

This research was conducted to determine the effects of supplementation chitosan oligosaccharide (COS) on growth performance, blood parameters, carcass traits, fatty acid composition breast meat, and apparent nutrient digestibility in broiler chickens. A total 375 one-day-old Ross 308 male chicks were allocated a control diet (T1) or diets supplemented with 50 ppm (T2) 100 (T3) COS. There five replicates 25 for each treatment. All experimental birds fed starter (days 1 - 4), grower 15 28), finisher 29 42). No differences detected among treatments live weight, gain, feed intake conversion, except that depressed T3 during period. Serum protein albumin levels did not differ treatments. cholesterol, low density lipoproteins (LDL), very (VLDL) triglyceride concentrations reduced significantly by COS, whereas high lipoprotein (HDL) concentration lower only T2 relative T1. The dressing percentage higher than Fatty meat unaffected some its constituents affected graduated manner addition Thus, COS improved yield had hypolipidemic effect improving serum lipid profile

Effects of dietary supplementation of mannan-oligosaccharide on virus shedding in avian influenza (H9N2) challenged broilers

Avian influenza (AI) is a highly contagious disease causing significant economic losses worldwide. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) on tracheal and cloacal virus shedding in AI challenged broilers and contamination of environment with H9N2. A total of 300 1-day-old-broiler chicks were randomly divided into 3 groups (A, B and C) and supplemented 0.2...

Galactoglucomannan oligosaccharide supplementation affects nutrient digestibility, fermentation end-product production, and large bowel microbiota of the dog.

A galactoglucomannan oligosaccharide (GGMO) obtained from fiberboard production was evaluated as a dietary supplement for dogs. The GGMO substrate contained increased concentrations of oligosaccharides containing mannose, xylose, and glucose, with the mannose component accounting for 35% of DM. Adult dogs assigned to a 6 × 6 Latin square design were fed 6 diets, each containing a different conc...

the effect of nanocopper and mannan oligosaccharide supplementation on nutrient digestibility and performance in broiler chickens

background: following the ban on the use of growth stimulant antibiotics in many countries, interest has arisen in finding  a suitable alternative for antibiotics in poultry production. objectives: the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of supplementation of two levels of nano-copper (0 and 100 mg/kg) and two levels of mannan oligosaccharide (0 or 1 g/kg) as natural growth stimulan...

Effect of dietary oligochitosan supplementation on ileal digestibility of nutrients and performance in broilers.

The effect of dietary chitosan oligosaccharides (COS) supplementation on ileal digestibilities of nutrients and performance in broilers was assessed by feeding graded levels (0, 50, 100, 150 mg/kg) of COS. Two thousand four hundred male commercial Avian broilers (1-d-old) were assigned randomly to 5 dietary treatment groups (60 birds per pen with 8 pens per treatment). Diet A was a typical corn...

Effects of Thermostable Phytase Supplementation on the Growth Performance and Nutrient Digestibility of Broilers

A study was conducted to investigate the effects of thermostable phytase supplementation on the growth performance and nutrient digestibility of broilers for 42 d. 1-day-old Arbor Acres chicks with similar initial body weight were randomly divided into 3 treatments consisting 6 pens of 20 chicks per pen. The control group was given maize-soybean meal basal diet and the other two groups were fed...
